Obituary of Patricia A. Bergin
Patricia “Patti” A. (Keaney) Bergin, 66, of Woburn, passed away after a courageous battle with ALS on Tuesday, October 24. She was a mental health case manager for many years.
She was born in Winchester, MA the daughter of Marjorie Keaney and the late Francis X. Keaney.
Patti was raised in Lynn, MA and graduated from St. Mary’s High School before earning her Bachelor’s Degree from Northeastern University. She worked in social services in Lynn and Lowell, supporting the mentally ill and homeless. Patti was a true humanitarian; she had boundless energy and a relentless commitment to helping others, both in her profession and in her day-to-day life. Her ability to tackle any job, no matter the size, has helped countless people.
Patti had an amazing ability to connect with others and became a friend and confidante to many. She loved crafting, flowers, cooking, and decorating. She took pride in taking care of her home, both inside and out. Patti was happiest at the family beach house in Hampton Beach with her family and lifelong friends.
In addition to her mother, Patti is survived by her loving daughter, Erin Bergin and her fiancé Adam Brady of Pelham, NH., and a sister, Carole Maxfield and her husband Brian of Lowell. She is predeceased by her husband Joseph Bergin. She will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends.
