My deepest condolences to David's wife, children and the rest of his the family. I just learned of the sad news and am in shock. I worked closely with David at BBN from 2006-2014, and I have many great memories with him. I learned a lot from him on software engineering. I saw him play the Odaiko drums a few times. He will be missed.

I send my prayers to David’s lovey wife and children. It was such a blessing to be in classes with David in high school. He was one of the kindest boys as well as brilliant and so well rounded. He was always considerate of others. He and Bach would often help the rest of us one by one in physics with difficult lessons when the teacher stepped out. Though learning seemed extremely easy for David, he was always humble and led with class by his example. Students who knew him, admired him. We all enjoyed playing volleyball at P.E. and would get a bit competitive. David was no exception. He played that well. I am so thankful to have had the privilege of knowing David. The world is better because of him.

David and his loving family always gave us happiness and wonderful memory. Sadly I don't have the chance to tell him personally, David, thank you for being a close friend with myself and my family. I will miss you for the rest of my life.

I remember David as a warm and loving father. My student Ada gave David a hug and then handed the small school bag to him after each painting class. In the corridor after school, I could vaguely see their backs walking together. A father with loving eyes looked at his little daughter talking while dancing. Sometimes, David would play guitar and enjoy his solo time in an empty classroom while waiting for Ting to finish class and then go home together! I believe David spent his last Thanksgiving thankful for his wonderful life and sweet and warm family! Rest in peace David!

I remember when he and Ting Ting met at LSU and fell in love. David always took great care of Ting Ting. They have shared a beautiful life and memories. We can all be hopeful that we can experience that type of love and devotion.
