My prayers and thoughts are with Elaine's family. I met with Elaine several times to discuss her estate planning and her wishes upon her passing. She cared deeply for her sons so much so that she wanted to make sure all was in order so that her passing would be as smooth as possible. At each meeting, her warm smile and kind eyes always welcomed me along with a freshly baked dessert and coffee. My heart aches for Carl and Mark, but also finds solace that as a woman of faith, Elaine is an angel looking down upon her family and that she rests in peace. With love, Susan Grady

I knew Elaine from our Lectio Divina group. I always admired her deep faith and gentle ways. She showed by example how to be courageous in adversity. She has left footprints on all the hearts she touched. She was a saint who walked among us.
Rest in God's peace Elaine. Barbara Barrett

Our hearts are broken! We are praying for each and everyone of you; but especially Anita & Jean, Carl, and Mark & Melissa, Violette, Michael, Veronica and Isaiah.
I first met Elaine at our LECTIO DIVINA group led by Sr. Claire Provost. I consider her one of my best friends — who always put others first — ahead of herself. She taught me so much about being faithful to our Lord Jesus Christ. Elaine was someone whom you wanted to emulate. I will miss her so much and is sad that Tim and I could not attend as we are in Florida.
We are going to try to grieve with a JOY that she is at peace and with our God and I am sure she is wearing the crown of glory which she deserves as she was a faithful servant. I am sure Jesus is saying, “well done, good and faithful servant! You were faithful with a few things; enter Inyo the joy of your master.”
With much love -
Tim & Jeanne Glasheen

I worked with Elaine for a few short years. Her compassion and empathy for others was unmeasured. I always look forward to working with her. She was a wonderful baker and would often bring the latest recipe that she tried. We enjoyed sharing recipes. Elaine was always so happy to talk about her grandchildren and she adored. She has left a void for many that will be filled with memories in time ♥️

We couldn't have asked for a more caring and friendly neighbor. Elaine had a heart of gold and we're going to miss our neighborly chats with her from across Mill Street. Our hearts go out Carl, Mark, and family during this very difficult time. With love, Nicole and Glen Mills

There are no words. My heart is broken as I know all of yours are. Your mom was my dear, dear friend and my Saturday night companion. We met when Carl was in High School and fast became friends. I have so many memories of sitting in her kitchen eating what ever treat she had cooked up that day, taking walks together, going to all of the thrift shops that I knew she loved and that she knew I didn't love but we just enjoyed being together. The nights we went to Bamboo or Jimmie's and split a delicious meal for only $15.00 each. And the times we would go to McDonalds for $1.00 ice cream cone. We would always laugh about the savings and be so happy with ourselves. We had many serious talks about everything and never solved anything but always felt better afterwards. She was one of those rare friends you could open your heart to. How I have missed her daily Good Morning call always telling me what the weather was. I am a better person because of her. She will always be in my heart. We had so many things left to do.❤

Elaine and I worked together at the VNA. I was fortunate to have her as my mentor and friend. Her knowledge of wound care kept us all on at the top of our game.
I have fond memories of going to Elaine’s house multiple times a week to exchange charts. These trips were often associated with the sound of Carol practicing the piano and Elaine in the kitchen baking away often with my “to go” portion all prepared.
Elaine was very proud of her family and took every opportunity to bring friends and family together; like her annual Xmas party. I have never seen such a large yankee swap!
A special person gone too soon.
Mark and Melissa, Carl, Anita et al. My thoughts and prayers with you ❤️

I had the pleasure of working with Elaine at Stonebridge. She always poked in my office either on her way in or out to inquire about my day. We chatted about family, food, thrifting and of course the beach! My day was always brightened by her presence. I will always remember her humor and kindness. I am so, so saddened to hear of her passing. Please know, I am holding you all in my prayers. Martha Dooling

My dear family
I am filled with so many emotions as I process the passing of my dear cousin Elaine! Our summer birthdays in July as children and the Sunday gatherings at our grandparents dinner table, where many traditions were created and then continued by Elaine long into her adult life. She opened her heart and home to everyone and you never left hungry
After being a guest at her table. She raised two incredible
sons who were by her side with her last breath and took such excellent care of her. And to my cousin Anita and Jean, I feel she had more days with all of you because you brought her to your home to care for her when she no longer could be alone. I will miss her more than you know
Esp on Senior Tuesday at Savers where we hunted for treasures! Rest in peace my dear Elaine until we meet again. Love Denise

I will Never forget endlessly playing paper dolls, your always being Fred in the Flintstones game, (so I didn’t have to be) your love for going to Salisbury Beach with your family, your love of SeaHunt TV show, even though you weren’t into water sports! You loved having people visit you so you could cook and pamper them. Your patients waited to see what outfits you would have on, always with skirts or dresses.
No one fought a health battle such as yours, no one could ever be so brave. Love, Carol

Elaine was the person you could turn to and she would always be there. When my mom was in need of wound care Elaine was the only person she wanted and Elaine was ALWAYS there with expert advise, compassion and her amazing smile. She often talked to us about her own family and especially her sister, Anita. We know the strong bond she had with family. She was truly an incredible person who will be missed by all. We are sending love to you all.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Elaine was such a beautiful soul. When Mark married Melissa, Elaine not only welcomed Melissa like family, but also all of Melissa’s family. I feel blessed to have met and known Elaine. She always took interest in others and how they were even, when she was the one struggling with health issues. She will be missed greatly.
