Obituary of John Bowles

John H. Bowles, a lifelong resident of Billerica, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 12th. He was only 48 years old. John served in the Army National Guard, as a member of the Signal Corps Regiment. John was a talented carpenter, who worked general construction as well as property maintenance. He was currently working with C.R. Machine in Billerica. John was extremely generous with his time and talents. He was always there to lend a helping hand or his carpentry skills. His many family and friends have new hardwood floors, roofs, bathrooms, and so forth thanks to John’s bigheartedness. John had a number of interests and activities. He enjoyed working in the kitchen and baking. He was a huge football fan. He was a former member of the Woburn Moose. He enjoyed spending time with his family, sharing in family celebrations, holidays, and events. He cherished the time he spent with his beloved son, Jonathan. They enjoyed simple pleasures, like watching a game, going to the movies, working on a project together and simply being a part of each other’s lives. John’s sudden passing is difficult to endure, but he leaves his family with countless lasting memories which will never be forgotten. John was the loving father of Jonathan Bowles of Nashua, NH. He was the devoted son to his mother, Margaret Bowles of Billerica and his father the late Herbert Bowles. He was the brother of Eveleen M. Fulgoni & her husband David, Jim F. & his wife Gail and Julie M. Ahern & her husband Bill, all of Billerica. John was the former husband of Joyce Chartrand of Nashua, NH. He was also the proud uncle of 17 nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Monday, Oct. 17 at 8:45 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, 796 Boston Road, Billerica at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Sunday 2-6 p.m. Interment in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
