So sorry to the Fusco family. I met Dave at the Reilly school in Lowell where he ran many AAU tournaments. I was the custodian there and Dave and I became fast friends. His mom and dad would help him out and I got friendly with them also. Then ironically his nephew Ron became vice principal of the Reilly. I consider myself privileged having met them all….God bless you all………Rich Sarmento

I am so sorry for the loss of your dad. He was a wonderful man. My two kids had him at Nashoba tech. He was always wonderful to them and always wonderful to everybody else and then when I came to learn that I had his dad at Medford high school in the 80s I was so pleased to hear that because his dad was wonderful too and then come to learn that I work with David’s son and he is wonderful but I had the pleasure of my kids having you all in me having his way back when all wonderful, wonderful men and that is a generation to me may he rest in peace and God bless he will be missed❤️

I am tremendously sorry to learn of the passing of my dear friend Dave Fusco, and I wish to express my warmest condolences to his wonderful family. This is a heartbreaking loss to so many who have come to know and love Dave. But I am also very grateful to have had the pleasure to call Dave my friend these past 15 years. Dave was one of the kindest, most generous, and fun loving people I have ever known. His smile and infectious laugh could light up a room. For the students at Nashoba Tech, Dave was a caring educator our kids could count on to make them smile, and he was always there for those kids who really needed a trusted adult and a friend. Dave was incredibly generous with his time, coaching long hours during basketball season, volunteering at sporting events, but never complaining. Dave was one of those unique individuals who could find the joy in everyday life, and that’s why people were drawn to him. No matter who walked in his classroom, from the veteran teacher to the shy freshman, Dave always had a warm smile for them. I can honestly say the Dave Fusco is one of the most memorable people I have ever known. His impact will long after his time here on earth. Dave is an absolute legend.
Rest in Peace, my friend.

I was truly saddened to hear of Dave’s death. It has been 40 years since I have talked with him but he still made a big impression on me while I knew him in high school, playing basketball together. I remember him as being fun loving, funny and just about one of the nicest and most liked person I have ever known. I honestly don’t think there is a person who met Dave that didn’t instantly like him and think what a great guy. Everyone loved Dave. And there is not a person who would say a bad thing about him. To learn that Dave went to school and become a teacher and coach makes absolute sense. I am sure he had the same impact on all his students and they are all better, as am I, for having the blessing to have had Dave in my life, even if only for a few years. Rest in peace my friend. My condolences to the whole Fusco family..With my deepest sympathies, Jim Heneghan.

I never had the pleasure of having Mr.Fusco as a teacher, but my 2 older sisters did. But I did have the pleasure of having him as a baseball coach my sophomore year of high school. His charming personality and humor will forever live in my heart. Playing baseball for him was by far one of the most memorable and fun seasons. Sending love and prayers to Mr.Fusco’s family and friends and I hope you’re able to take some comfort in knowing how many lives Mr.Fusco touched, and how much of an amazing impact he had on many.

Rest in Peace Big Dave! As we both always said when we talked, you had one of the sweetest jumpers for a Big Man on the Court. Always enjoyed our encounters when I ran into you at a gym where I was refereeing and you where there making all the difference in the world to as many kids that you could help! You were a Great Man! My condolences to the entire Fusco Family! We need more Dave Fuscos in this World, not less.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Dave. He gave his entire time everyday to the students at NVT. He was a great friend to many of us that were lucky to work with him. Many of our students could always confide with him if they needed help. I can’t think of anyone who would help the students more than him. He was truly missed when he left NVT by many of us. God definitely has a place for him on the bench in heaven.

I was so sorry to hear of this wonderful man’s passing! I met Dave..fondly nicknamed Mr. Mom..over 30 years ago when he came through the doors of the Childcare Center I Directed. He was the most warm, sweet, gentle giant we have ever known! He was the kind of parent everyone should strive to be! He would enter everyday with the children & a big smile on his face and pick up the same way! He always had time to share a story or two. And let us not forget the goodies!! Dave was remarkable. He touched all of us! For that we will be forever grateful. He loved his family beyond measure which was evident in the way he spoke about & interacted with his wife Jayne, his mom & dad and especially his beautiful children!
My deepest condolences to all of you! May he rest in peace ~ until you meet again! ❤️. Miss Lorene XO

So sad to learn of Dave's passing. What a great family. I met Dave when he joined my men's basketball league back in the 1990s and I could never get over how smooth his jumper was. Then I saw him dozens of times when he was on the football field keeping everyone in line. Thank you for always being such a nice guy whenever we saw each other Dave. God speed sir.

David was such a wonderful man. I'm not sure I can really express just how much I will miss him. Not only was he a great friend, but a wonderful father, brother, uncle, son … and so much more. David had the ability to make everyone he met smile and laugh. The beautiful tributes and messages offered this week by friends, family and former students/colleagues truly attest to “a life well loved”

Although I never had the chance or pleasure to have Mr. David Fusco as a teacher, Mr. Jesse Fusco became one of my favorites by the time high school has ended for me and for that I thankful. I send my condolences to his family and to his son, Mr. Jesse Fusco, especially. May the love he gave to those whom loved him back reside and live on in your hearts.

I had the privilege of working with Dave at LVTI/Discovery. He had the type of personality that always put a smile on my face! He had a way with the students, who called him “Papa Fusco” which was very fitting! His presence will be missed but not soon forgotten. I pray for peace and comfort for the family during this time of loss. ❤️
