I knew Del when I was very young. He was a different kind of person: full of warmth and love for the people around him. Although I did not know him well, I admired him. He and Alice seemed to be perpetually having a good time--and wanted us to be part of it. He had a serious side, even a meditative or contemplative side. I appreciated this. If I was lucky enough to have a conversation with him, he spoke to me directly--never condescendingly. I simply cannot convey how much this meant to me, how much it opened up a different world for me. I admired his judgment and perspective. When he asked "How are you doing?" he really wanted to know. He was a rare person. I'm very grateful to have known him--even just a little. Que deus se abençoe.

Dear Del, May you Rest In Eternal Peace! Here are some pictures of your pasted birthdays spent with Lourdes and myself...I know how much you loved to celebrate and loved this place. I wish I had the opportunity to say goodbye to you, but life did not permit for that to happen for whatever reason. It was a please to get to know you and spent time with you. I like to express my condolences to the family, specially Tony Modesto and Jimmy Modesto.

Tony, Jimmy, and family. So sorry to hear that your Dad Del passed away. He lived a long life filled with joy. Memories of "The Gang" hanging in your basement are most memorable. And my mother dunking your mom in the pool! They had lots of fun at your house and my parents home. Beautiful photos you've uploaded of the family. Love Charlene and Dave

I met Del and Alice when my sister and Tony were married. He sure knew how to throw a party and make us all feel right at home. For a surprise party for Tony, Del picked me up at the airport and took me back to their home where I stayed until the festivities began. I had so much fun with both Del and Alice that evening and the next day at the party, the fun continued. He will be missed and is now reunited with Alice. May you rest in peace Del and know you will always remain in our hearts with the wonderful memories we shared.
