Obituary of Dorothea Phair

Dorothea K. Phair, a proud graduate of Emmanuel College in Boston, passed away at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, she was 88 years old. Dot was born in Chelsea and raised and educated in Medford. She was the daughter of the late George and Kathryn Phair. Dot was a graduate of Emmanuel College and went on to receive her masters at Boston University. She was a teacher at Lexington High School teaching at the Junior High School as well as the Muzzi School. Dot retired from teaching in 1981. Dot was very active in the Emmanuel College Alumni Association participating in their events and meetings until just a few years ago. She enjoyed traveling and had traveled throughout the United States and Europe. Dot was the beloved daughter of the late George & Kathryn Phair. Loving sister of Barbara McCarthy of Lexington. Aunt of Jeff McCarthy of Merrimack, NH and Paula Walker of Westford. Great Aunt of Kathryn & Benjamin Walker. A visitation will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Saturday, July 6 from 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Malachy Church, 99 Bedford St., Burlington at 12 Noon. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
