I’m so saddened to learn that one of my childhood best friends is gone.
Ken and I met in third grade, and I think Mrs. Fiske immediately regretted seating us next to each other. We became fast friends, later we were in Boy Scouts together, we had fun swimming in his pool, playing in the woods behind his house, he even taught me how to play Dungeons & Dragons. There were so great times.
We lost touch after my family moved out of Tewksbury, and every so often I’d check to see if he had a Facebook profile so we could reconnect. Sadly, my most recent search turned up his memorial page here.
To Ken’s family, I am immensely sorry for the loss of your son, brother, husband, and father. He was a great friend to me. My love to all of you.
I recently found this photo of him, taken after Boy Scout Troop 49 went to the national Jamboree at West Point, around 1984.

I was so sorry to hear of Ken's passing. I've known Ken for many years through a customer / vendor relationship that was really much more than that. My most vivid memory is how excited he was to play back voice mail messages that his kids' left on his cell phone, and how upset he was when he changed phones and realized that he lost them (I think he eventually figured that one out). For the few times per year that I communicated with Ken, it wasn't hard to get to know him, and what he was all about. I've read all the submissions and the letter from his wife, Lauren, so how can any more be said, any better. This world has lost a good man way too soon, and I hope his family and friends find strength in his memory.

To the Lambert Family,
I first met Ken when I interviewed and hired him at ITW Plexus. I knew immediately what a good man he was and what an excellent addition he would make to our team there. He was extremely intuitive, dependable and always had a smile even when the going got tough. Though I did not know your family well, I wish you the best in getting through this and though I had not seen Ken for a few years, I will miss him very much. My sincerest condolences.

It is so hard to believe that we will never see Ken's smile again. Those who knew him knew that smile - it lit up his entire face. He was more than just a brother-in-law to me; he was my friend, my adviser. He watched over me growing up as if I was his own sister. What I will remember about him most is his willingness to help anyone with anything. He had a heart as big as his smile. He loved my sister and his children more than anything. There is a hole in our lives that cannot be filled; but when I remember Ken, I will remember that smile.
