I was one of the lucky ones who had the privilege of singing in the same choir as Lucille. Her strong presence in the soprano section was unforgettable—she led us with such grace, hitting the high notes so effortlessly and beautifully. Lucille was often the only one who could hit the grace notes with such ease and elegance, elevating our choir performances to a whole new level. Her pizzelle cookies, which debuted at Vivian’s wedding, became a beloved treat at our church potlucks, reflecting her patience, love, and thoughtfulness. When I first joined the church, she showed me such care and offered guidance that made me feel truly welcomed. Her dedication to the church, her genuine care for everyone, and her no-nonsense attitude are irreplaceable. Our family will surely miss her deeply. You are loved and remembered by our family, even the younger generation who continue to be inspired and impressed by your legacy. Thank you, Lucille, for founding the church with Ming and leaving behind a legacy that will be forever cherished.

Dear Lucille,
It has been a long time since ORTV(救世傳播協會) established its new building at Dazhi, Taipei in 1965, from time to time during weekend evening, my older siblings would bring me to attend the music program there. So I remembered you were one of the choir members of Heavenly Melody, though I have no idea about your name, as a 5th grade kid and my family just moved from Nankang, Taipei to Dazhi, Taipei.
With fast rolling forawrd, when Hsueh-Meei and I moved to an apartment at Fishkill,NY in 1989, Ming Hsieh and David Chiu (邱偉大)invited me to join a small group bible study with TD and Ing-Chin once a week during weekday when Hsueh-Meei and I were attending Sunday church service in Westchester county, NY. That way, indeed helps me to build a strong Christian fellowship with other truth seekers in local community where I lived.
Amazingly, in 1994, we became neighbors because Hsueh-Meei and I could not find a house suitable to us in Westchester county, NY, after two years of house hunting effort. From 1995 to 2000 if Hsueh-Meei was out of the States, you and Ming would invite me to have Sunday night dinner at your house. I really appreciated your kind heart and those very delicious dishes!
More over, Ming also invited me to join Tuesday night MHCCC prayer meeting. Of course, Ming is the driver, I just get a free ride until you and Ming moved to a new house. Difinitey, I continue attending MHCCC evening prayer meeting until I moved out of Fishkill.
Since we were nearby neighbors, Hsueh-Meei and I saw you walking around in the neighborhood from time to time. You also gave us many plants and flowers to make our yard with better looking according to different seasons. I still remember a friend, Sara told me that Ming planted the two huge Spruces in my front yard!
Hsueh-Meei, Boots(Hsueh-Meei's niece) and I last visted you in December, 2017. And we do not have a chance to visit you afterward.
Comfort comes in knowing
death is not the end.
Those who die in Christ
will live eternally.
We sure meet again
on the other side of the river.
Emmanuel,
Hsueh-Meei, Mark, and
Boots
