Obituary of Patricia "Patti" Walsh
Patricia “Patti” (Brennan) Walsh passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Born in Winchester, and raised in Burlington, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Hanlon) Brennan. She attended Burlington public schools and graduated from Burlington High School with the class of 1974.
Patti was a true townie with a deep love for her hometown. She dedicated many years as a Council on Aging bus driver, where she found joy and purpose in transporting seniors to events, always adding her own warmth and kindness to the journey. In addition to her role as a bus driver, Patti worked as a cafeteria worker in the Burlington school system, where her friendly face became a familiar sight to students and staff alike. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her own children, impacting all who crossed her path. Her care and compassion for others will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Patti met the love of her life at a Knights of Columbus bingo night, where a chance encounter turned into a lifelong partnership. Soon after, she married her devoted husband, and together they built a family filled with love, laughter, and deep-rooted support.
A devoted mother, Patti was always present, rarely missing her children’s sporting events, milestones, or important moments. Her children remember her as someone they could confide in without hesitation, thanks to her laid-back and approachable nature. She shared an unbreakable bond with them, creating memories and fostering connections that will be cherished forever.
Patti’s pride and joy were her grandchildren, who were fortunate to experience her love and gentle guidance. She adored caring for them and took great pleasure in spending time with family, including trips to her brother’s home in New Hampshire and her sister’s home in North Carolina.
Patti loved evenings out for dinner with her son, as well as her sisters, known as the three musketeers, indulging in the occasional scratch ticket, or short trip to the casino. Family gatherings were especially dear to her heart, as they reflected her unwavering dedication to her family and friends.
Patti is survived by her loving husband, Edward “Eddie” Walsh of Burlington, residing in Woburn, son, Robert E Walsh of Burlington, residing in San Diego, daughter, Lauren M White of Burlington, residing in Tewksbury and her late husband Steven, her siblings, Donna (Brennan) Webb of Burlington, residing in North Carolina, and her husband Andy, Robert Brennan of Burlington, residing in Wolfeboro and his wife Betty, Terese “Terry”(Brennan) Kelloway of Burlington, residing in Billerica and her husband David, Cynthia (Brennan) Preston of Burlington, residing in Arlington, four grandchildren, Brayden, Sawyer and Maverick White and Ashton Kopycinski… as well as several nieces and nephews Tina, Kellie, Meghan, John, Cullen, Joe, Emma and life-long friends Debbie, Katie, Martha and many other dear friends.
