Kristen will always be a role model for me. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work side by side with her to care for the Soldiers and families in our USAG Bavaria community. Her strong Christian faith was always clearly evident. Kristen began volunteering for the USO within 60 days of her arrival in September of 2018 and continued to volunteer until a week before our garrison "shut down" in March of 2020 due to COVID. She devoted 186 of her 255 volunteer hours to support the USO operation in the USAG Bavaria’s Readiness Welcome Center where she welcomed incoming Soldiers and their families (many of whom had been traveling for more than 30 hours) with her own special brand of kindness and empathy on 67 occasions. Kristen’s willingness to spearhead support for this USO operation and ensure that we had volunteers to man the operation when she was not able to be there herself was a testimony to her faith. Thank you Kristen for making a difference in the lives of so many!

I did not know Kristen personally, learned of her and her cancer fight through her Mom Kerry. May our Lord be welcoming her with open arms. Gov bless the family and for all those close to her.

Kristen was a wonderful battle buddy. She was generous, compassionate, humble, funny and sarcastic. She never sought the spotlight, preferring to make her huge contributions quietly in the background. I hope she knew how much we loved her and the impact she and Adam had on the lives of everyone in USAG Bavaria.

I met Kristen through Lisa. Our families went to Rome together in 2012 while Lisa and I ran the Rome marathon. We all became fast friends and had a blast. Since then I have considered myself blessed to be a friend of Kristen. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Love, Sarah
