Obituary of Henry Dragon

Henry Leo “Hank” Dragon, a resident of Burlington for 43 years, passed away at the Winchester Hospital on Saturday, November 25, 2006. He was 73 years old. Hank was born in Northampton, Mass. He was the son of the late Leo and Jean Dragon. He was raised and educated in Northampton and Newton. Hank was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving his country in the Army from April of 1953 to March of 1955. He was the recipient of the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal. He saw the future of computers and worked as a Systems Analyst at Raytheon, RCA, and General Electric. Hank had a passion for golfing. He was a member of the Indian Ridge Country Club in Andover for 15 years. He participated in many tournaments many with his son David. They came in first place in the New Hampshire State Father Son Tournament in the late 90’s and came in third place in the Massachusetts State Father Son Tournament in the late 1980’s. Most golfers only dream of getting a “Hole in One”, but Hank was fortunate to have several “Holes in One.” His other interests included bowling and fishing. He was a member of the American Legion in Burlington as well as the Knights of Columbus in Burlington where he was a Member of the Third Degree. Hank is the beloved husband of 50 years of Irene V. (Karalius) Dragon. He is the loving father of Patrice & her husband Jim Allen of Lowell, Leslie Dragon & her husband Todd White of Newport News, VA, and David Dragon of Burlington. His sister, Phyllis Blom, predeceases him. He is the loving grandfather of Christopher and Melissa Allen. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Wednesday, November 29 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge. Memorials in Hank’s name may be made to the K of C Exceptional Children’s Fund, P. O. Box 25, Burlington, MA 01803.
