Theresa,
My thoughts are with you during this difficult time - You are truly one of the strongest women I have ever met in my life and I know that you have a wonderful family to help guide you through the road ahead. I was saddened to hear of Jim's passing and hope that you are able to find comfort in your family and in knowing that he is no longer suffering. I wish you all the best as you move forward and will continue to think of you and your family in the coming months.
All the best,
*Jessica Valle (Ash - former colleague at NBTC Elm St)

To the family, it was my pleasure to have worked with Jim at Brockhouse in Rochester, N.H. and then later to have had Jim serve as a loyal confidant to Salmon Falls Precision.

My childhood memories include many of Jim Doherty. First, it was "Jim" and Mrs. Doherty, our good neighbors of Burlington. Although it has been 38 years since I have lived across the street from the Doherty family I still regard them as our good neighbors and friends. As a child, me and other kids in the neighborhood would look forward to Jim coming home from work and we were always welcome. We would rake the leaves/acorns with him and we were always rewarded with a treat. Jim would shoots hoops in the back yard, blast his Neil Diamond records out the livingroom windows and share his Bruins tickets with my family. When I would babysit for Regina, the counter was always covered with cookies, candy and treats. I remember when Jim got Elton John's new album, "Your Song", I was so scared I might scratch his precious record on his big hi-fi stereo. When a snow storm put a stop to Regina's 1st birthday we (the kids in the neighborhood) were invited in to celebrate. Not only were the kids of the neighborhood welcome but my dog was too. After dinner Freckles would stop at Doherty's and would always be welcomed with a treat.
To Mrs. Doherty, Regina, Brian and Michelle I am so very sorry for your loss. I hope you find some comfort in knowing Jim's/your Dad's positive spirit, smiling personality and warmth brought happiness to so many. He will always be tucked away in my wonderful memories of growing up on Pleasant Street. I am grateful to have been able to still enjoy Jim's company during the last few years of his life on earth.

Aunt Theresa, Regina, Brian and Michele,so sorry to hear of Uncle Jim's passing. Even though he's at peace now it's heartbreaking not having him around. He truly was a great man and will be missed by many. I will never forget the time we (the Browns) were on vacation in NH and he stopped by. He and I went to the store and the song Endless Love came on and he goes you sing the Diana Ross part and I'll sing Lionel Ritchie's...lol...Uncle Jim being Uncle JIm!
