Obituary of Marie Fahey
Marie (Alfonso) Fahey, a resident of Burlington over 40 years, passed away at the Kaplan Family Hospice House on Thursday morning, October 20, 2011. The beloved wife of Robert Fahey, she was 66 years old.
Marie was born in Italy. She was the daughter of the late Rosario and Lena Alfonso. Marie’s family came to the United States when she was five years old. They settled in Dorchester where Marie was raised and educated. Marie and her husband Robert settled in Burlington where they raised their two children. Marie worked at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington for many years in the Accounts Payable Dept. Marie was courageous in her battle with Multiple Sclerosis which she was diagnosed with in the mid-eighties.
Marie was the beloved wife of Robert Fahey. She was the loving mother of Robert Fahey, Jr. & his wife Lupita of Burlington and Kevin Fahey & his wife Laura of Newton. Marie was the sister of Josephine Penta of Billerica and the late Salvatore Alfonso. Grandmother of Max, Ellie, Caroline & Rhys Fahey.
Memorial Services will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 12 Noon. A visiting hour will be held from 11 a.m. – 12 Noon. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers memorials in Marie’s name may be made to Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923-2764.
