Obituary of Mildred Young
Mildred M. Young, a resident of Burlington for over 50 years, passed away at the Pine Knoll Nursing Center in Lexington on Monday night, October 24, 2011. She was 89 years old. Mildred was born in Watertown the daughter of the late John and Martha Padenski. She was raised in Medford and was a graduate of Medford High School. She had worked in the Dietary Department of the Lahey Clinic for a number of years. She took great pride in her home and yard. She was an excellent cook. She loved working around her yard in her flower and vegetable gardens. She was a member of the Burlington Garden Club. She worked hard to remain independent in her own home.
Mildred was the wife of the late Loring Young. She was the mother of the late Dennis and Chester Young. She was the sister of Jean Pero of Burlington, Vincent Padenski of Carlisle, and the late Joseph Padenski. She was also survived by 4 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington on Saturday, October 29 at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Her body will be laid to rest at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Burlington. Arrangements under the direction of the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., Burlington.
