Obituary of Joseph Silipigno
Joseph W. Silipigno, passed away at the Carleton Willard Village Nursing Home on Sunday evening, October 6, 2013. The beloved husband of the late Gloria (Risola) he was 95 years old.
Joe was born, raised and educated in Boston. He was one of 8 children born to the late John and Jennie Silipigno. He was a Veteran of World War II. After leaving the service he went on to work as a Leather Cutter for Stride Ride for over 30 years. Joe had a passion for the Boston Red Sox and never missed a game. Joe and his late wife Gloria had a wonderful life together. They enjoyed taking trips to Italy, dancing and just spending time together.
Joe was the beloved husband of the Gloria (Risola). He was the brother of Leo of Hyde Park, Anthony of Holbrook, Stephen of Hyde Park and the late Pauline, Frank, Jennie & Lillian. Loving uncle of many nieces, nephews & their families. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Thursday, Oct. 10 at 11 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Malachy Church, 99 Bedford St., Burlington at Noon. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-7 p.m. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington.
