Obituary of Claire Molloy

Claire M. Molloy, age 78. Mary Kay Sales Director, Physical Therapist, wife, mother, grandmother. Claire M. Molloy passed away on early morning Thursday November 30 at the Lahey Clinic, Burlington, MA due to a sudden illness. Claire was born in Peabody, MA on December 7, 1927. She was a graduate of Peabody High School class of 1945 and earned her Bachelors Degree at the Sargent College branch of Boston University class of 1949. In 1979, Claire earned a Masters Degree in Administration at Northeastern University. Claire is survived by three sons- James A. Molloy of Reading, MA, Bryce S. Molloy of Cave Creek, AZ, Bryan J. Molloy of Lovell, Maine, 2 daughters- Diane J. Molloy of Austin Texas and Suzanne M. Bouvier of Dracut, MA and eight grandchildren. She also survived by her brother Bryce Murray of Peabody and Joseph Murray. Claire was most recently a resident of Lady Lake, FL and Watertown, MA but prior to that was a 38 year resident of Belmont, MA with her late husband, Dr. James F. Molloy Jr. Claire was a Physical Therapist by training and worked at many of the top facilities in the greater Boston area through the late 1970’s. At that time, Claire joined the Mary Kay Cosmetics team and rapidly rose to the position of Sales Director, which she held until her retirement in 2003. Claire is the beloved wife of the late Dr. James F. Molloy, Jr. She is the loving mother of James A. of Reading, Bryce S. of Cave Creek, AZ, Diane J. of Austin, TX, Bryan J. of Lovell, ME, and Suzanne M. Bouvier of Dracut. She is the sister of Bryce Murray of Peabody, Joseph and the late Alfred Murray. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Tuesday, Dec. 5 at 8:45 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Adelaide’s Church, 708 Lowell St., Peabody at 10 a.m. Visiting hours on Monday 4-8 p.m. Interment will be at the Florida National Veteran’s Cemetery at a later date.
