How sad it was to learn of George’s passing. I always saw him as a very good and admirable, and very likeable, man -- smart, kind, fair, steady, quick with a smile or laugh, and devoted to, and justifiably proud of, each member of his wonderful family. A life well-lived, and a role model for us all. I’m glad to have known him. I’m sorry we cannot make it to the services in person, but we send many thoughts and prayers from afar to Jeff and Abena and to the entire Kern family.
