Obituary of Maurice A. Casperson
Maurice A. Casperson, Jr., a retired Civil Engineer, passed away peacefully October 27 at the age of 73.
Maurice was born in Boston, eldest son to the late Maurice and Dorothy Casperson and the brother of Paul his younger and only sibling. Throughout his early years Maurice lived in various parts of New England and Pennsylvania . His passion for the outdoors and beauty of the landscapes were enhanced by this opportunity. His family eventually moved back to Boston where he completed his education at Roslindale high school and furthered it at Northeastern University. After meeting his wife Claire and starting a family in Burlington, Maurice followed his dream and became a civil engineer and has left his handprint on many buildings, skyscrapers, and roadways that we have traveled and/or visited throughout Boston. Although Maurice enjoyed his career, his wife and three sons, Peter, Andrew and Matthew were his number one definition of happiness. From spending summers at the camp in Littleton teaching his sons how to swim, hike and fish, to square dancing with his wife, to a simple game night at the house, Maurice was and always will be the definition of husband, father, uncle, teacher, best friend and one of a kind Grampie to his four grandchildren. We are forever grateful for his wisdom, his sense of humor, his kindness, his gift of storytelling that made you feel like you we're there, the smile and laugh that brightened up your day but most of all Maurice being the person he is and always will be in our hearts .
Maurice was the loving husband of 46 years of Claire S. (Greaves) Casperson. He was the proud father of Peter & his wife Christine of Westford, Andrew & his wife Andrea of Flower Mound, TX, and Matthew & his wife Bonnie of Lowell. Brother of Paul and his wife Marilyn ofCA. He was the very loving grandfather of Brandon, Alexander, AJ, and Alexis Casperson.
