I'm so sorry that I missed Iona's funeral, but I just didn't hear about her passing.
She was a wonderful friend, whose generosity extended to all the students and all her co-workers at Burlington High School.
I extend my sincerest sympathy to her family

I will miss Iona. She has been a part of my life since I was 19, which to those who know me is a long time.
She has been not only a Grandmother, but a friend to mine and Bob's 3 children; Bobby, Jill and Amy; and our Grandson's Thomas and Bradford were so fortunate to be able to have had these years with their Great-Grandmother.
It comforts me to know that Iona is now home with 2 of her favorite men; Doey and Bob. But I offer my love and sympathies to the other 2 favorites left behind; Paul and Donnie. You two have been unbelievable Sons to your Mom, and your Dad. You and your families brought them so much joy. I hope you find peace in your memories and love of family.
Love Susan

I was saddened to hear of Iona's passing. She was one of the kindest and most pleasant women I have come in contact with in almost 40 years of teaching at BHS. The words "no" or "I can't" were not part of her vocabulary. She helped me as a teacher and later as the father of two daughters entering college. She will be missed by many, many people in the Burlington community. Rest in peace, Iona.

Aunt Iona was such a sweet lady. She and Uncle Doey opened their home to me when I first moved to Massachusetts. I enjoyed living there especially because it gave me the opportunity to get to know both of them better. I loved hearing her stories about growing up with all those brothers and Aunt Lib. My sympathies to her entire family. She will be greatly missed.

It is with tremendous sadness that we express our condolences to the Ganley family. Iona will always be remembered in my heart as a lovely and gracious lady. I so enjoyed my conversations with her. She will be dearly missed by me and my mother, Helen, who thought of Iona as her very dear friend.

Iona was the finest women I ever knew. Her integrity, compassion and devotion were especially remarkable as was her devotion to family. I am so sorry for the pain the Ganley family is having to endure, losing Doey a few months ago and now Iona. She was such a special person. Hugs to all of you.
