Obituary of Janet Glennon

Janet M. (Regan) Glennon passed away at her home on Sunday morning, December 3, 2006, after a courageous battle with cancer. The beloved wife of Paul G. Glennon, she was 69 years old. Janet was born in Cambridge. She was the daughter of the late George and Mary Regan. She was raised and educated in Lexington and was a graduate of Lexington High School. Janet and her husband Paul moved to Burlington in 1963 where they raised their three sons and became an active part of the community of Burlington. Janet’s life center around her family and supporting their many interests. During her early years in Burlington she could be found at local hockey rinks and ballparks. She would be either watching her husband Paul coach or one of her sons playing hockey or baseball. In more recent years she would attend the many sporting events of her grandchildren. Janet enjoyed traveling and had taken trips throughout the states including Cape Cod. Janet also treasured many special friendships that she had made throughout the years. Janet was a warm and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend whose presence made a deep impact on all their lives. Janet is the beloved wife of Paul G. She is the loving mother of Scott Glennon & his wife Judy of Burlington, Steven Glennon & his wife Pamela of Billerica, and Sean Glennon & his wife Lorraine of Bourne. She is the sister of Thomas G. Regan of Townsend and Marjorie Hammans of VA. Dear friend of Sheila & Henry Gibson of Burlington. She is the loving Nana of Kurt, Kyle, Regan, Rylee, Cooper, Matthew and Kennedy. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt.128, Woburn side) on Wednesday, Dec 6 at 11 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Malachy’s Church, 99 Bedford St., Burlington at 12 Noon. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington. Memorials in Janet’s name may be made to Children’s Hospital Trust, One Autumn St., #731, Boston, MA 02215-5301.
