Obituary of Thelma Marie Wilkie
Thelma Marie (LeBlanc) Wilkie, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, March 2, 2014. The beloved wife of the late Samuel E. Wilkie, who passed away in 2003, she was 86 years old.
Thelma was born in Somerville. She was the daughter of the late John and Estelle LeBlanc. She was raised and educated in Weymouth. Thelma worked as a Technician for Compugraphics, Raytheon and retiring from AGFA. Thelma and her husband made their home in Tewksbury where she had been a resident since 1953. Thelma led a full and active life. She was a member of the Tewksbury Senior Center where she enjoyed many friendships playing domino’s and taking Tai Chi lessons. She enjoyed sewing and painting. She also enjoyed cake decorating and made her daughter Judi’s wedding cake! During her retirement years Thelma and Samuel traveled throughout the United States in their Motor Home and made many trips to Florida. Their trips were very memorable and they loved to share their stories with their two daughters. Thelma had a love and affection for her animals. She had a wonderful and special relationship with her two daughters Sandra and Judi. Thelma was the beloved wife of the late Samuel E. Wilkie. She was the loving mother of Sandra Ann Wilkie of Tewksbury and Judi Wilkie Clark & her late husband Wayne Clark of West Palm Beach, FL. She was the sister of Mildred Piccuto of Weymouth and the late Hubert LeBlanc. Thelma was the dear friend of Millie Allen, Sandy Allen and Lisa & Thomas Madore and their children Shelby, Samantha and Tommy.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington on Friday, March 7 at 10 AM. Burial immediately following at Chestnut Hill Cemetery.
