It has been more than a blessing to have had my mother-in-law Carol in my life for more than 23 years. She was one of my greatest teachers on "what matters".
Her contentment with life, her love and compassion and strong will to keep her independence has been beyond an inspiration. I can assure you that was her "secret" to living 97 wonderful years....
She was a devoted loving wife . A loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother and friend to many. She has touched all of us.
In the coming days ahead, it is going to be a challenge to have Carol absent from my life. But, she is on a new journey now. A journey that will bring her back into the arms of her loving husband, Tony. Now both will forever be in our hearts and forever truly missed....
Love, Stephanie

Dear Michael and Toto:
I have many, many years of wonderful childhood memories of your Mother stored in my heart...Bobby, Marshall, Gabby and I used to have so much fun when visiting "Aunty Carol & Uncle Tony" on College Avenue....I remember when she used to let me play with her Avon samples, tried to teach me to sew and shared stories about her big, huge cat! She was so very proud of you boys (and all of her grandchildren) and rightly so!
I know she missed your Dad greatly..they were one of those special couples that really cared for each other through the years and it showed..the will now be together once again.
My mother had a fondness for her that lasted through the years as you both know. I'm thankful for the memories and will try to remember the laughter during this time of such sadness. Love your cousin, Michelle

Dear Auntie,
I'm going to miss my visits with you and cooking for you. I will miss all the times we reminisced about the old times. Our updates on our grandchildren were always special to me and our afternoons just talking about anything. You'll be in my heart always and I miss you already.
Love,
Joanie

It is not possible to think of my childhood and not think of Auntie Carol and Uncle Tony. I remember it was so much fun when Laura and I would visit Somerville and run up and down the interior stairs to visit both homes. Auntie Carol and Uncle Tony always made us feel so welcome and never acted as if we were intruding. Of course, Auntie Carol would always make a trip to the pantry and make us Tang for our troubles! She had such a warm heart and kind way about her. She was someone you always wanted to be around and made you feel so special. I miss her already. I know many people with aunts they are not close to and think how lucky I am to have an aunt like Auntie Carol and the childhood memories she gave me.
love,
Michele Taranto

Caroline was a woman who will always be remembered with love and admiration. Everyone knows she was the best mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was the kind and loving person with many virtues and had a special way in expressing her empathy for others less fortunate than she was. She loved my parents and the feelings were mutual as they always enjoyed her company. I can picture her during a family event surrounded by her whole family and those were the times she loved best.
God bless you and keep you Caroline in his tender loving care.
