So sorry for your loss. Great memories growing up with the family. Your dad was a great guy. It's hard seeing this generation pass on.

Jean, I'm very sorry to learn you have lost your dear husband. While I have not seen you for many years, I've always been happy to hear from other classmates (1957) that you were very happily married and had produced a lovely family with Stephen. While we cannot always know God's reasons for the direction of our lives, we can be thankful for the blessings He bestows on us. Truly you and Stephen were blessed to share 53 wonderful years together.

My condolences for your loss, even as our families grew apart there is always a special bond. I remember how your dad always made us laugh and was always concerned as little kids we had fun. May he rest in peace and you have strength through this trying time

My heart goes out to Jean and her family. My fondest childhood memories are of the friendship Steve and I shared growing up from 2nd grade through High School. God bless you my friend and may you rest in piece. Barry

Jean and family, I’m so sorry to hear the news. I have such great memories of Steve, I always looked forward to our time together at family functions, it wasn’t 30 seconds before he had me laughing.…
When I was just out of Mass Maritime and working my first job struggling to find my way, Steve invited me to visit the shop to look at some plans. We had a long conversation that started about boats and continued with him taking me out to breakfast. He imparted some valuable advice about work and more importantly about family.
Not long after we had our first child Steve pulled me aside, he continued our conversation about family and he handed me a folded piece of paper from his wallet. It was an amazing poem about being a father that he said he carried with him always, it has long since fallen apart however I still it carry it with me and think about it often. It has helped me over the years to make choices about what is important and how to spend my time.
As my children get older and I realize more and more how fast time goes by, I’m so thankful that as a young man Steve not only took the time to share with me what was really important but also over the years checked in and reinforced it with stories about his own life. I could always tell how happy he was to be working with his family and how much he enjoyed his time with all of you.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.

you for 53 years, and was lucky to have been a good builder of children and of so many things for
so many people. Kevin Donovan SHS57

Dear Jean and Family,
Saying, "I am sorry for your loss" would not be enough to comfort you at this time. Yet I am so sorry. I will always remember Steve with a smile. He loved family, he was always hospitable and had a joke for any occasion. I will always remember him that way. Hope this is a comfort to you. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
With all my love,
Nancy
