Obituary of Ronald Repoza

Ronald Gerard Repoza, retired Captain of the Tufts University Police Dept., passed away at Holmes Regional Hospital in Melbourne, Florida on Monday, May 5th. The beloved husband of 48 years of Linda (Henderson), he was 71 years old. Ron was born in Cambridge. He was the son of the late Manuel and Esther Repoza. Ron was raised and educated in Somerville and a graduate of Somerville High School. Ron and Linda made their home in Burlington from 1969 – 2009. Ron worked for over 30 years in the Police Department of Tufts University retiring as Police Captain. He loved his job and took great pride in what he did. This was very much evident in the number of awards he received from Tufts one of which was an Outstanding Performance Award. After his retirement Ron and Linda moved to Melbourne Florida and enjoyed a wonderful life there meeting many new friends. He was a member of the Melbourne Beach Golf Association. Ron enjoyed traveling, watching old sitcoms on television and going out to dinner with friends. Most important to Ron was his family. He was blessed to have 48 wonderful years of marriage to Linda, have two daughters that he was extremely proud of and be a part of his three grandchildren’s lives. Ron was the beloved husband of Linda (Henderson). He was the loving father of Rhonda Christensen of Wakefield and Kristen Byrne & her husband Michael of Melrose. Brother of Robert of Billerica, Shirley Ray of Malden and Esther DeMontier of Lowell. Ron was the proud grandfather of Carina & Jake Christensen and Brody Byrne. A Memorial Wake will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., Burlington on Monday, May 19 from 4-8 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be held in St. Mary’s Church, 796 Boston Road, Billerica on Tuesday, May 20 at 10:30 a.m. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers memorials in Ron’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 http.//www.stjudge.org/
