Obituary of William Kiely

William F. Kiely, Jr. passed away at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House on Tuesday afternoon, November 29, 2011. The beloved husband of Ann (Foley) he was 83 years old. Bill was born, raised and educated in Cambridge. He was the son of the late William and Edna Kiely. With his parent’s approval Bill entered the Marine Corps at the age of 16. He served his country during World War II. He returned to school after leaving the service, Bill then went on to play semi-pro football Bill and his family settled in Burlington in 1962. He had a successful career as a troubleshooter at Cambridge Electric for over 43 years. Bill’s life was all about his family. He shared his love of football by coaching his sons in Pop Warner football. He never missed a game or an event that his children were involved in. He also enjoyed following the activities of his grandchildren. Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be missed. Bill was the beloved husband of Ann (Foley). Loving father of William F. Kiely, III of Woburn, Barbara Gerardi & her fiancé Mark Batten of Westford and John Kiely of Orleans. Brother of Jack Kiely of Nashua, NH, Robert Kiely of VT, Janet Clancy of Billerica, Ruth Kiely of CA and the late Richard Kiely. Grandfather of Jamie, Rachel & John Kiely and Sarah, Carla & Stasia Gerardi. Great grandfather of Sean. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Malachy Church, 99 Bedford St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington.
