Obituary of Rose Boisvert

Rose Grace Boisvert passed away at the Lahey Hospital on Wednesday morning, July 30, 2014 at the age of 89. Rose was born in Boston the daughter of the late Peter and Margherita Raniere. Rose grew up in the North End of Boston. As a teenager, her mother was quite ill and Rose took on many of the responsibilities of maintaining the home and to help to take care of her younger sister Elizabeth. She has made her home in the West End of Boston, Dorchester, and Woburn before settling in Burlington six years ago. Rose did not have a large family, but she had an extremely close family. She was devoted to her children Robert and Margie and was a very proud grandmother. It was her family that she lived with, socialized with, and relied upon. Saturday nights was family night spent playing cards around the kitchen table, sharing stories, and speaking Italian as to keep the children from eaves dropping on their conversation. Rose was a very funny person, sometimes not even knowing so. She had a unique way of misusing words that was often very comical. They were Rose sayings. She was a big fan of crime stories, westerns, and detective shows on television. In her later years she enjoyed traveling with her family, taking cruises, going to Disney World, the Casino, and other destinations. Rose was a very memorable person with her small stature and comedic personality which the staff at many hotels and cruise ships loved helping her. Rose was the beloved mother of Robert A. Boisvert, Jr. of Rockland and Marguerite S. Soden & her husband Douglas of Dale City, VA. Rose was the sister of Raymond Fabian & his wife Maureen of Pelham, NH and the late Phyllis Oschman, Elizabeth Raniere & William Raniere. Grandmother of Douglas C. Soden of VA. Beloved aunt of Victor Arata & his wife Kandy of Doylestown, PA, Nadine Thys & her husband Robert of Burlington and the late Kenneth Arata & his wife Judy of Frenchtown, NJ.
