Obituary of Harry Curtner
Harry Curtner of Burlington passed away peacefully at the age of 92 on Thursday, August 21st at the Fairview Nursing home in Hudson, NH.
Harry served in the Air Force during World War II, stationed in the flight tower at Langford Lodge, Northern Ireland. While there, he met and married his wife Maud, and at the end of the war, came home to reside and begin a family in Ohio. After attending college and receiving his Masters from Ohio State, he then began work at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. A transfer later brought his family to Burlington, as he began his career as a Contract Price Analyst and Director of Pricing at Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford, MA. He retired in 1986 after 39 years of service. Harry loved his family and friends, his church, airplanes, coin collecting and bird watching. Until the end, he maintained his wonderful sense of humor.
Harry leaves behind his loving children Linda Curtner, Cindy Ruana & her husband Don, Connie Moore and her husband Ron and Carol & Michael Murray. He was a loving Papa to Shauna & her husband Rory, Heather & her husband Brian, Craig & his girlfriend Nicole, and great grandchildren Tyler, Hannah & Elizabeth. Harry was predeceased by his wife Maud and daughter Jo Ann.
A visiting hour will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Sunday, August 24 from 10-11 a.m. concluding with Funeral Services and Military Honors at 11 a.m.
