Obituary of Joan Wolfe

Joan M. (Miller) Wolfe, a resident of Burlington for over 40 years, passed away at the Winchester Hospital on Saturday morning, December 30, 2006. The wife of the late John A. Wolfe, she was 68 years old. Joan was born in Stoneham. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Miller. She was raised and educated in Medford. Joan worked for many years as a Waitress at the Lord Bedford Hotel in Bedford. She was an avid reader and was a member of the Book Club at the Burlington Public Library. Joan was a people person. She enjoyed spending time at the Burlington Council on Aging with her many friends. She loved to travel and had visited such places as Ireland and Bermuda. Joan was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be deeply missed by all those who loved her. Joan is the beloved wife of the late John A. She is the loving mother of John E. Moore, Jr. of FL, Coleen Moore of North Chelmsford, and Maureen Moore of Billerica. She is the sister of Kathryn Durant of NH, Mary Ann Miller Ashcraft &her husband David Ashcraft of Medford, and the late Robert J. Miller, Jr. She is the grandmother of Deirdre, Tara, Michaela, and Tessa. She is the dear friend of Kathy Rochon of NH. Joan is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Tuesday, Jan. 2 at 10:30 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 11:30 a.m. Visiting hours Monday 3-7 p.m. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, BURLINGTON. Memorials in Joan’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
