Obituary of Jane Bradley

Jane E. Bradley, a woman devoted to her family passed away unexpectedly on Sunday morning, December 28, 2014. She was 75 years old. Jane was born in Woburn, the daughter of the late Marion Rose and William Sanford Rafter. Jane grew up in Woburn and was a 1956 graduate of Woburn High School. She married Robert Bradley and they settled in Burlington to raise their three children. She was heavily involved in her children’s lives. She volunteered in the Burlington Schools and taught religious education for Saint Margaret’s Church. She was always there to support them in their interests, sports, and activities. York Maine was a special place for Jane and her family for 5 decades. It was their summer home, where her children and later grandchildren spent their summers enjoying each other’s company. She enjoyed walking the beach or simply enjoying the beach views and reading a book. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and playing solitaire. Jane was a very good shopper and was always on the hunt for a bargain, or something special for her family. Jane’s life revolved around her family. She was a loving and supportive wife to her husband Robert for over 52 years. She was a caring and concerned mother, and a doting grandmother and great grandmother. Cathy, her sister and comrade was her constant companion. She leaves behind numerous friends and loved ones who blessed her with many years of laughter and love. Jane was the loving beloved wife of the late Robert C. Loving mother of Susan Rose & her husband David of Gloucester, Pamela Doherty & her husband Brian of Nashua, NH, and David & his wife Susan of Ft, Lauderdale, FL. Sister of Mary Corbett & her husband Francis of Kittery, ME, the late William Sanford Rafter, Jr. Sister-in-law of Christina Rafter of Gloucester. Loving grandmother of Adam & Elise Warshaver, Caitlyn, Aaron, & Emily Doherty, Alexandra Pizzementi, and Samantha Rose. Great grandmother of Michael Warshaver. A visiting hour will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., Burlington on Wednesday, December 31 from 11 a.m. to noon and will conclude with Funeral Services beginning at noon. Interment in Puritan lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.
