What wonderful memories of growing up next to the DiFabio family. Alma was such a sweet lady with a great smile. My Mom and Dad shared many happy hours and memories of the Mohawk Rd days. I hope all the old neighbors are together having parties like the old days.
Thoughts and prayers to the family.

Alma was one of my first clients at my job as a homemaker, and after our first day together I knew that she would be a client with whom I would have more than just a working relationship. She was one of the few people with whom you really can talk about anything, and when I finished my shift at her house that first day I found myself wishing I had been scheduled for more hours so that we could have continued our conversation. Every week I would look forward to our visit and every week without fail we would spend so much time talking and laughing that I would have to scramble to get my work finished on time. In just two months of working for her I learned many things from Alma about history, our favorite classic movie stars, and where to find a good read. I also learned more significant lessons in appreciating and embracing life from her. Although she was facing health issues and needed help with many things she never complained or let her problems hold her back any more than they absolutely had to. I never suspected just how many difficulties she was facing because she always looked at the world with an optimism and humor that most of us have trouble maintaining when we're in fine health. I was also surprised to see that she was eighty-eight at the time of her death, as to me Alma seemed so engaged in life that she had taken on an ageless quality. Although I only knew Alma for a short time I know that I'll always remember as one of the funniest and kindest people I've ever known and miss her as one of the greatest friends I've ever had.

Your beloved mother/grandmother was a friend of my mother Margie Gosselin.
I remember her as a child when she would come over for ladies night card games.
She always offered words of encouragement when I would run into her at my mothers or
another event they both attended. You were blessed to have this kind loving person in your life. I will
say a pray for your loss.
Respectfully
Pat Archer

Dear Carole, Barbara, and David and all family members,
I am sad to hear that Alma passed away. She and I met in Italian class and have remained friends since about 1971 when we moved to Lord Baron in Burlington. We always had fun eating at different restaurants and we could talk for hours about our travels, politics, families, food, etc. Alma was a loyal, caring, friend who always called. My last call to her did not have good news and I wish I would have made it to her house.
Alma lost her husband, her son, her driving freedom, and at last much of her eye sight but she always tried to be positive. She was greatful for the help her friends and family gave her. She showed me pictures of her family and happiness radiated from her face. There was only one Alma who was always a joy to be with. It was a lucky day when I met her. I was fortunate enough to have met her husband, too, who had a beautiful garden behind their house. I will miss her. Love, Alice and Don
