Obituary of Alvin Thomas Molloy

Alvin Thomas Molloy passed away at the Lahey Hospital & Medical Center on Wednesday evening, January 21, 2015. Alvin was 73 years old. Alvin was born in Chelsea. He was the son of the late Martin and Marie Molloy. Despite having a brain seizure at a young age, with the help of family, friends and special counselors, Alvin led a full and independent life. He worked at Cmarc in Woburn as an Assembler for many years. Alvin was an avid sports fan and followed all the Boston Sports Teams. He enjoyed participating in Fantasy Sports Teams with friend Evan Kroop and his brother Harold. Alvin had a very close relationship with his family and always looked forward to birthday celebrations, cookouts and holidays. His nephew Michael was very special to him and brought him great joy! Alvin was the beloved son of the late Martin and Marie Molloy. He was the loving brother of Harold & his wife Kathleen of South Carolina and the late Stanley. Alvin was the proud and loving uncle of Dr. Michael Molloy & his fiancée Ilda Bajraktari of Enfield, NH. Alvin is also survived by many special friends. A visitation will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., Burlington (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Sunday, January 25 from 3-6 p.m. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend.
