Obituary of Mary J. Caterino
Mary J. (MacDonald) Caterino, former owner of Mary’s Minatures, passed away at the Saints Memorial Medical Center on Wednesday afternoon, February 4, 2015. The beloved wife of the late Arthur W. Caterino, Richard Moran and William Cassel, Mary would have celebrated her 80th birthday in March.
Mary was born in Boston. She was the daughter of the late Donald and Harriet MacDonald. She was raised and educated in Boston and Jamaica Plain. Mary lived in Billerica from 1959 – 1977 and then moved to Burlington. Mary was not one to sit idle. In addition to raising her five children she was the owner and manager of Mary’s Miniatures located in Billerica. Her shop sold doll houses and doll house products. Mary enjoyed to play bingo and was a member of the Council on Aging in Burlington. She was also an avoid walker. She enjoyed traveling and loved the ocean. Mary and Arthur had visited such destinations as California, Hawaii and Mexico. She had a passion for animals of all kinds. She was an animal rights advocate and was always looking out for animals whether feeding a stray cat or wild animals in her yard. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Mary was the beloved wife of the late Arthur W. Caterino, Richard Moran and William Cassel. Loving mother of Linda M. & her husband Albert of Billerica, William Moran & his wife Rachel of Tyngsborough, Robin McLaughlin & her husband Paul of Billerica, Eugene Moran & his wife Lynne of Burlington and Eric Moran & his wife Alicia of Burlington. Sister of Nancy Allen of CO, Janet Uyetake of HI and the late Marjorie Kalilikane. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128 Woburn side) on Ssaturday, Feb. 7 from 9-11 a.m. Concluding with Funeral Services at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
