Obituary of William Saraiva
William Saraiva passed away at the Woodbriar of Wilmington Rehabilitation Center on Friday morning, February 13, 2015. The beloved husband of Rosemary (Jodice) he was 74 years old.
Bill was born, raised and educated in Cambridge. From a young age Bill developed a mechanical aptitude. He worked as a Machinest/Mechanic at W. H. Nicholas Co. which later became Parker Hannifin retiring after having over 30 years of service to the organization. He had a passion for cars. Bill took great pride in owning a 1969 mustang. He took pleasure in just tinkering with the car or taking a ride with his wife Rosemary. During their retirement years Bill and Rosemary would split their time between their time share in Sanibel Island and their home in Sarasota Florida. Sarasota was one of their favorite destinations because their daughter Marie and her husband Scott also lived in Sarasota. He enjoyed walking the beach or just spending time together as a family sharing a meal or a holiday dinner. Bill will be remembered as a very down to earth man whose life centered around his wife and daughter.
Bill was the beloved husband of Rosemary (Jodice). Loving father of Marie Pasho & her husband Scott of Sarasota, FL. Brother of Joseph of Somerville and the late Beatrice Juskiewicz. Brother-in-law of James & Dorothy Jodice of Manchester by the Sea. Uncle of James & Jill Jodice of CO and Mary Jodice of Beverly. Great uncle of Cameron Jodice and Alex Fiske.
Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Friday, Feb. 20 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Thursday 4-7 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorials in Bill’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
