Obituary of Linda Lee O'Grady

Linda Lee O’Grady, a woman who loved her family and was a friend to many, passed away from cancer on Sunday morning, March 15, 2015. She was 53 years old. Linda was born in Framingham. Her family lived in Framingham until she was 11 years old and then moved to Burlington. Linda graduated from Burlington High School in 1980. She was a member of International Order of Rainbow for Girls as a teenager. She followed Rainbow virtues; Faith in a Supreme Being and other people, having Hope in all that they do, and Charity toward others. She loved to write poetry and sing. Linda had a big heart and always thought of others before herself. She would organize monthly cookouts for all her neighbors. She would take it upon herself to be the person who introduced new residents and made her complex a community. She would help those who needed any assistance or transportation. It was never an inconvenience to lend a helping hand or share a kind word. She had a strong spirituality and desire to make her world a warm and better place to live. Linda also had a deep affinity for animals. Her dog, “Arnie” and her cats, “Trixie and Dixie” were delightful companions to her. She will always be remembered for kindness and love she shared with her family, friends, and neighbors. Linda was the loving daughter of Shirley (Cooper) Estrella of Wilmington & her late husband Ernest and the late Daniel J. O’Grady. She was the beloved sister of Kevin O’Grady & his wife Lori of Wilmington. She was the proud aunt of Shannon O’Grady of Wilmington. Linda also leaves her longtime companion, Frank Towle, of Stoneham. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (exit 34 off Rt. 128/95, Woburn side) on Wednesday, March 18 at 9 a.m. Followed by Funeral Services at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. Interment in St. Stephen Cemetery, Framingham.
