Obituary of Helen Seminatore
Helen C. Seminatore passed away unexpectedly at the Woburn Nursing Center on Thursday evening, March 26, 2015. Helen was born, raised and educated Burlington. She was the daughter of the late Gerald and Christina Seminatore. Helen’s family settled in Burlington in 1944. They purchased the Maple Knoll Farm and Helen along with her other brothers and sisters worked on the farm which sold over 1,000 turkey’s a year. The farm was eventually sold to the Town of Burlington and is currently the Pine Haven Cemetery.
Helen worked as a Temp Secretary filling in at various companies. She loved to play Bingo which she played in Lowell every week with her friends. She even played bingo at the Nursing Center the day before she passed away. Helen had a passion for knitting. During her retirement years she would knit afghans for the Senior Citizens. She always had a bag of yarn beside her chair and always had an afghan in process. Helen had a wonderful close relationship with her sisters. They were devoted to each other and cared for one another. Helen and her sisters enjoyed going out to eat at the different restaurants in town and just being together. Helen was a devote Catholic and she and her sisters attended the 4 p.m. Mass at St. Malachy’s every Saturday.
Helen was the beloved daughter of the late Gerald and Christina Seminatore. She was the loving sister of Loretta Levasseur of Laconia, NH, Marie and Barbara Seminatore of Burlington and the late Sister Christina, Marjorie, Gerald and Robert Seminatore. Aunt of Linda Seminatore of Hudson, NH, Michelle Natale of Franklin, Catherine Seminatore of ME and Christopher Levasseur of NH.
Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Tuesday, March 31 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Malachy’s Church, 99 Bedford St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Monday 5-8 p.m.
