Obituary of Dianne Hogan

Dianne (Schultz) Hogan passed away at her home on Sunday afternoon, March 29, 2015. The beloved wife of 44 years of Richard P. “Red” Hogan, she was 62 years old. Dianne was born, raised and educated in Worcester. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Mildred Schultz. After high school she went on to graduate from Worcester State College with an Associate’s Degree. Dianne worked as an Administrator at Digital in Bedford for over 12 years. She then went on to work at Parametric Technologies in Waltham and Zoom Technologies in South Boston. Dianne and Red met after Red left the Marine Corps. They were both going to the same school taking courses and also worked on the same Political Campaign. They married and settled in Burlington in 1976 where they raised their two children. Dianne enjoyed making beautiful stained glass pieces such as mirrors and window hangings. She was also a talented seamstress. Dianne and Red enjoyed traveling and had taken a number of trips to the Caribbean, to Alaska and Washington DC. Dianne loved to cook. Nothing made her happier than having a kitchen full of people filled with food. The first thing her grandchildren would do upon entering her home was run to the kitchen where “Grammy” keeps all the good stuff! Her children and her grandchildren were her pride and joy and nothing made her happier than being with her family. Dianne was the beloved wife of Richard “Red” Hogan. She was the loving mother of David Hogan & his wife Michele of Marshfield and Sarah Hogan-Crowley & her husband Michael Crowley of Tewksbury. Sister of Holly Schultz of Athol. Proud grandmother of Amelia, Bridgette & Trevor Hogan and Dylan & Andrew Crowley. Funeral Services will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Thursday, April 2 at 11 a.m. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 p.m. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery Burlington. Memorials in Dianne’s name may be made to People Helping People, PO Box 343, Burlington MA 01803.
