Obituary of Charles Daniel
Charles Daniel, a retired Certified Public Accountant, passed away after a long struggle with Alzheimer 's disease on Friday afternoon, January 6, 2012. He was 93 years old. Charlie was born in Cambridge the son of Italian immigrants, the late Paolo and Alexandrina Toscano. He grew up in Medford and was a graduate of Medford High School. He continued his education at Bentley College, where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. His career was delayed with his enlistment in the Army to fight in WW II. After his return from the war, he resumed his career as a CPA. Over the years, he owned Charles Daniel Inc. and K and H Services, both firms specialized in offering financial and tax services for small businesses and corporations. He was dedicated to providing his clients professional, personalized services and guidance in a wide range of financial and business needs. He was extremely well respected amongst his many clients.
Charlie had a number of interests and activities outside his career. He was a huge fan of the Boston sports teams. He loved going to the Patriots and Celtics games or watching the games with his family and friends. He also played golf. He was a past member of the Sons of Italy. He loved getting away with his wife, Helen, on trips to Aruba, Bermuda, Hawaii, California, and other exotic destinations. In his retirement years, they would winter in Florida. He enjoyed entertaining his family and friends at his home or around his pool. He children's friends were always welcomed to his home. He loved his family and prided himself on being good role model, giving of himself for his family, and being a good provider.
Charlie was the beloved husband of 63 years of Helen (DiSalvo). He was the loving father of Karen & her husband Alex Falzone of Billerica and Stephen & his girlfriend and life partner, Deann Ohler of Los Gatos, CA. He was predeceased by his brother; Andrew and Anthony Toscano. He was the proud "e;Papa"e; of Alex Falzone, Jr. of CA and Joey Falzone of AZ. Funeral Services will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Tuesday, January 10 at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Monday from 5-8 p.m. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
