Obituary of Daniel Sullivan

Daniel P. Sullivan, or as his family and friends affectionately referred to him as “Uncle Dan” passed away after a brief illness at the Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua, NH on Sunday morning, August 21, 2011. Uncle Dan was born in Cambridge, the son of the late John and Catherine Sullivan. He grew up and was educated in Arlington. He had a great mechanical mind and craftsmanship to go along with it. His family refereed to him as a tinkerer who could make anything out of anything. He liked working on his cars and trucks. He had the courage to install a sunroof in his new car himself. He enjoyed puzzles, long rides, and going to Bingo with friends. He enjoyed living at Summer Place in Chelmsford, where he maintained their gardens. He loved his family and valued his neighbors and friends. Everyone had a special place in their hearts for Uncle Dan and he will always be remembered. He was the loving brother of the late Arthur and Walter. He was the brother-in-law of Mary Maureen Sullivan of Burlington and the late Helen Sullivan. He was the special uncle of Daniel of Arlington, Stephan of Billerica, Catherine Brink of Lawton, OK, Patricia Mottla of Burlington, Monica Duffey of Maynard, Sheila Conway of Acton, ME, Angela Sullivan of Salem, Sue Sullivan of Lowell and the late Lawrence Sullivan. He was the great uncle of Kristen Imbimbo, Stephan Sullivan, Jr., Jacqueline, Matthew, Michaela, Joel, Dylan, Wyatt, Holly, Noelle, Patrick, & William Sullivan, Anthony & Virginia Mottla, Christopher & Marc Duffey, Kaitlyn, Seth, and Randall Brink, Jr. He was the great great uncle of Cecelia & Alivia Imbimbo, Trevor, Warren, and Aiden Sullivan. Close friend of Ernest Hamilton. Also survived by many friends at Summer Place in Chelmsford. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON ( exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Wednesday, August 24 at 11 a.m. Followed by Mass of Christian Burial in St. Malachy’s Church, 99 Bedford St., Burlington at noon.
