Obituary of Rosemary Martin

Rosemary (Gareri) a woman who devoted her life to her family, passed away at the Wingate At Reading Nursing Home, on Tuesday morning, January 10, 2012. The beloved wife of William R. Martin, she was 84 years old. Rosemary was born and raised in Cambridge. She was one of six children born to the late John and Rose Gareri. She was a graduate of Cambridge Latin High School. Rosemary and Bill settled in Burlington in 1958 where they raised their children. Rosemary was an active member of St. Malachy Church and was a member of the Morgairs. Her husband Bill was a Past Grand Night at the K of C in Burlington. Together they were very active in the K of C participating in the socials and the Minstrel Shows. Rosemary’s life revolved around her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. There was nothing more precious to Rosemary that holding one of her new born grandchildren or great grandchildren. She enjoyed shopping and taking vacations to Canada. Rosemary was blessed to live a life that spanned 84 years and leaves a legacy of family. Rosemary was the beloved wife of William R. Beloved mother of Linda Lambert & her husband Thomas of Haverhill and Michael & his wife Nancy of Burlington. Sister of Catherine Viglione of Stoneham, Peter Gareri of Houston, Jack Gareri of Bellingham, Nancy Mueller of Danvers and Joseph Gareri. Devoted grandmother of Christine Castro & her husband Tony, Eric Stafford & his wife Suzanna, Matthew Stafford, Sean Stafford & his wife Lisa, Joshua Martin and Julie Devault & her husband Jesse. Also survived by 5 great grandchildren. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Friday, Jan. 13 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Malachy Church, 99 Bedford St., Burlington at 10 am. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, BURLINGTON.
