Obituary of Margaret Andre
Margaret “Peggy” L. (McPhail) Andre of Tewksbury, formerly of Burlington and the Boston area, passed away peacefully at her home with her children at her bedside on Saturday, April 18, 2015. She was 87 years old. Peggy was born in Calais, Maine, the daughter of Canadian immigrants, the late Harold and Lavina McPhail. She grew up and was educated in Calais. She married and had made the Boston area and Burlington her home for many years and resided in Tewksbury for the past 15 years. Peggy had worked as a waitress and Hostess for many years at Memory Lane in Somerville and Stelios in Billerica. Peggy enjoyed baking, shopping, decorating her home, bingo with her friends, country music, and following the Red Sox and Patriots. Peggy was the loving wife of the late Bernard Andre, who passed away in 1999. She was the loving mother of James Kelley & his wife Dianne of West Ossipee, NH, Joseph Kelley of Largo, FL, Karen Gordon & her husband Chuck of Tewksbury, Kevin Andre of West Ossipee, NH, and the late Betty Kelley, late Ronnie Andre. She was the proud “Grammie” to Jessica Nickerson, Ronnie & Kaitlyn Gordon, Adam, Jimmy, and Jocelyn Kelley. She also leaves 5 great grandchildren.
Peggy will be missed by family and close friends.
Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home on Thursday, April 23 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Graveside services will follow at Pine Haven Cemetery, Bedford St., Burlington at 1:30.
