Very sorry for your loss...I wish I could have visited with him one more time before he passed. Having spent many many days hanging out with Anthony Jr from 1958 - 1968, your dad...Tony...was definitely a highlight of those formative years. Many vivid memories of his stories and antics while trying to point us neighborhood boys in the right direction. Not an easy task. Really didn't know about his time in the Army and would have enjoyed talking to him about that since I went on to retire after 30 years in the Marine Corps. I still tell stories about him...like the Parodi stogies he smoked and how he "quacked" when spitting out the drivers side window to let us kids in the back know to roll up the window so it didn't fly in on us. He will be missed and I hope to catch up with Tony Jr in the near future. RIP Tony!

Uncle Tony,
I will never forget going over your house as a child with my dad, I always enjoyed all the animals you had on your little farm, and how you would give me the baby ducks & chickens & rabbits, that would live at your house.
All the big family cookouts you would have with all the relatives.
All the time you & my dad would spend together going to the racetrack or each others houses.
Give my dad a hug from me!
You will be missed!!
Love your niece Laura

Just recently, I shared these words with your sister Angie on an Easter card. I wanted her to know that life was so beautiful with our Salamone extended family and so I want to share these words with you too knowing that your spirit will always be near us and you will hear me. The words are as follow: "There are beautiful moments that I shared with you in our lives. Oh such sweet, beautiful memories that remain with me, especially those of my life with you and my mother and your sisters and your brothers and their husbands and wives. These precious moments of our lives have remained with me even now so vividly. And sometimes I think I've lived before all that I've lived today. Memories come back to me as if they knew the way. All the tricks my mind can play. It seems as though just yesterday, we were all together in the Wonderland of the West End of Boston where we all began our life's journey."
Oh uncle Tony, I'll always remember summers in Burlington with your wife and you and a pack of your mischievous nieces & nephews on the little farm that you had in Burlington where you lived for many years of your life. What patience both of you had to handle all of us naughty, frisky kids. At night, we slept in what I remember as a log cabin with no lights or running water and an out house for a bathroom. The farm had chickens and ducks and concord grapes everywhere. I ate the grapes off of the vine until I burst. We all loved life on what we called the farm and our only escape from the city! I have so many memories that are written in my heart and written on my mind. Such a beautiful life with our Salamone family! And so I bid farewell to you in this life my funny and witty Uncle Tony, knowing that we will all be together again someday in the spiritual life. And no more will we let life divide what death can join together.
Love,
Your Nephew Nat
