Obituary of Anthony DeBarros
Anthony James DeBarros, passed away at the EN Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital on Monday morning, May 25, 2015. The beloved husband of 64 years of Eleanor Jean (Moriggi) he was 87 years old.
Anthony was born and raised in Cambridge. He was the son of the late Aires and Mary DeBarros. He was a graduate of Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School. He went on to receive his Bachelors Degree from Wentworth College. Anthony was a Veteran of World War II serving his country in the United States Navy. He was the recipient of the World War II Victory Medal. Anthony had a successful career working as a Mechanical Engineer at Waltham Clock and Milford’s Automatics in Milford CT. Anthony lived in Connecticut for many years before moving back to Massachusetts. He was an avid reader and would read most any book that he picked up. Anthony was a homebody and being with his family was the most important part of his life. He was proud of his three grandchildren and was blessed to see them grow into adulthood. Anthony was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be missed.
Anthony was the beloved husband of Eleanor Jean (Moriggi). He was the loving father of Anthony DeBarros of Saco, ME and Dennis DeBarros & his wife Vicki of Burlington. Brother of the late Rosemarie Pacheco. Proud grandfather of Matthew of Stoneham, Peter of Burlington and Lorianne of Waltham. Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Thursday, May 28 from 4-7:30 PM Concluding with Funeral Services & Military Honors at 7:30 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorials in Anthony’s name may be made to The E. N. Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital, Attn: Hospice Unit, 200 Springs Road, Bedford, MA 01730.
