Obituary of Albert F Rosenstine

Albert F. Rosenstine, a Retired Veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars passed away at the Soldiers Home in Chelsea on Sunday morning, May 31, 2015. The beloved husband of Bella (Vasapolli) Rosenstine, he was 82 years old. Albert was born, raised and educated in the Bronx section of New York, City. He served in the United States Army for 22 years. Albert was the recipient of the Good Conduct Medal, Eastern Star Medal, The Vietnam Staff Service Medal 2 CL with 9 Bars, Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. While in the Army he was stationed in Germany, California, Michigan, and Burlington where he would meet his future wife Bella. After his retirement from the Army Albert worked as a Security Guard for J. P. Morgan Chase for over 20 years. In 1992 he retired to Woburn to be closer to his family. He became a volunteer at New Horizons in Woburn where he read to the residents. In his spare time he became certified to teach adults to read. Albert eventually became an employee of New Horizons for the next 5 years. Growing up in New York he was a New York Yankee fan. He was a Yankee Season Ticket holder for many years. Albert was a man of deep faith. He loved to sing and sang in the church choir. He also wrote beautiful poetry. He was blessed to be married to Bella for 56 years and have six children and eight grandchildren whom he adored. Albert was the beloved husband of Bella (Vasapolli) Rosenstine. He was the loving father of Thomas, Michael, Anthony, Carol, Susan & Diane. Grandfather of Christopher, Anthony, Samantha, Angelina, Michele, Joseph, Thomas Jr. & Jessica. Loving brother of Elizabeth and the late Francis. A memorial visitation will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Saturday, June 6th at 11 a.m. concluding with a Prayer Service at Noon. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Albert’s name may be made to the Soldiers Home in Chelsea, 91 Crest Avenue, Chelsea, MA 02150.
