Obituary of Kenneth Bruce Harrington
Kenneth Bruce Harrington, of Burlington, formerly of Woburn for 34 years, a loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. He was only 63 years old. Ken was born in Arlington, the son of the late Raymond and Beatrice Harrington. He grew up in Lexington and was a graduate of Lexington High School. He furthered his education at Middlesex Community College and it was at Middlesex that he met his future wife, Cindy Lavin. They have been happily married for the last 38 years. Ken was enjoying his early retirement, he worked as a manufacturing supervisor for many years at KeyTek. Ken was a talented musician playing lead guitar and singing in a number of bands over the years. He shared that love of music with his children, teaching his son to play and playing tunes around the home. He was a classic car enthusiast and enjoyed traveling to car shows and dreaming of the the ideal car he someday would own. He enjoyed working around his home, yard, and cars. He also enjoyed family vacations camping in the mountains and staying in hotels on the beaches of Wildwood Crest, New Jersey. He enjoyed laughing with his family and making jokes with his dry sense of humor that would sometimes catch us off guard. He was thrilled to become a grandfather. He enjoyed playing with and entertaining the grandkids and the special memories shared on the beaches of Seabrook. Ken’s unexpected passing is difficult to accept, but he leaves his family with lasting memories filled with love, laughter, and kindness. Ken was the loving husband of Cynthia “Cindy” (Lavin) of Burlington. He was the loving father of Beth Harrington of Tewksbury and her fiancée Bob Rocco of Tewksbury, Ariella Allison & her husband Eric of Seabrook, NH, and Brad Harrington of Burlington. He was the brother of David Harrington of Bedford, Phillip Harrington of CA, Anne Rabeuf of CT, and late Janet Coleman. Ken was the proud grandfather of Brody, Faith, and Connor. Funeral services were private.
