Obituary of Mary Graham
Mary T. Graham, a resident of Burlington for over 60 years, passed away on Saturday morning, June 27, 2015. The beloved wife of the late Edward J. Graham, she was 88 years old.
Mary was born in Boston, daughter of the late Eugene & Anna Sweeney. Raised and educated in Jamaica Plain, Mary attended Roxbury High School for Girls and upon graduation went to work for Bell Telephone. In 1953 Mary married Edward Graham, and moved to Burlington several years later to raise a family. Mary devoted her life to creating a loving home for her family and raising her two daughters. A woman of deep faith, Mary was a member of St. Margaret’s Parish where she taught CCD classes and attended daily Mass. She was also active in the community, volunteering at the schools and library, and enjoyed participating in events at the Burlington Senior Center with ceramics being one of her favorite things to do. She was blessed to have a wonderful circle of friends.
Mary and Ed spent several years traveling throughout the United States and Europe. During their retirement years they would spend summers at their vacation home on Paugus Bay on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire. Mary will be long remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Mary was the beloved wife of the late Edward J. Graham. She was the loving mother of Teresa Sirois & her husband Gerard of Dracut, and Barbara Gibb & her husband Robert of Georgetown. Mary was the sister of the late John, Eugene & James Sweeney. She was proud grandmother of Stephen Lucius & his wife Lauren, Jennifer Burns & her husband Robert, Geoffrey Lucius, and Robert, David & Kathryn Gibb. Great grandmother of Mason & Gavin. Funeral Services will be private.
