Obituary of Louise Malatesta
Louise (Imbriano) Malatesta, passed away at the Winchester Nursing Center, on Tuesday July 14, 2015. The beloved wife of the late Alfred Malatesta, she ws 101 years old.
Louise was born in Boston. She was raised and educated in Boston. Louise and her husband Alfred settled in Burlington in the 1950’s when Burlington was just a farming community. They built their own home and raised their 5 children. Louise worked in the Burlington School System in the Cafeteria. She retired after over 20 years of employment as an Assistant Supervisor.
Louise and Alfred lived a full and active life. They travelled throughout the United States visiting every state except for two. They took cruises to Alaska and Hawaii. For over 17 years they would drive their camper to Mexico where they would spend the winter months and then settled in Ellenton Florida. Louise eventually moved back to the Burlington area. She enjoyed going to the Senior Center and playing cards with her many friends. She was blessed to see the birth of 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Louise was the beloved wife of the late Alfred Malatesta. She was the loving mother of Loretta Maurer & her husband Robert of FL, John & his wife Margaret of FL, Roberta MacCutcheon of Woburn, Edward & his wife Carol of FL and the late Mary Louise O’Connell. Sister of Marguerite Caso of Dedham. Predeceased by 9 brothers and sisters. Grandmother of Joseph Jr., Alyce & Christopher O’Connell, Michael O’Connell & his wife Kristine, John & Christine Malatesta, Theresa Griswold, Mary Xuereb & her husband Joseph, Kristin MacCutcheon, Michael MacCutcheon & his wife Ashley, Thomas Malatesta & the late Kara Malatesta. Also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Malachy’s Church, 99 Bedford St., Burlington on Saturday, Sept. 26 at 10 a.m. Followed by burial in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Burlington
