Obituary of Anthony Paone

Anthony K. Paone, a resident of Winchester for 52 years, passed away at the Woodbriar of Wilmington Nursing Center on Friday morning, September 4, 2015. The beloved husband of the late Anna (Percuoco) who passed away in 1994, he was 92 years old. Anthony was born in Boston. He was the son of Italian immigrants the late Ciriacco and Marie Paone. Anthony was raised and educated in the North End of Boston. Anthony was General Contractor as well as a Real Estate Developer. He was the owner of Paone Construction from 1969 until his retirement in 1985. His son eventually took over the business but Anthony still kept his hand in the business staying involved. He was the developer and builder of a number of police stations and municipal office buildings in the towns of Stoneham, Somerville, Groveland and Scituate. He also was involved in the development of two schools in Malden. During his retirement years Anthony and Anna spent their winters in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He was an avid golfer and was a member of the Woburn Country Club. Anthony was the beloved husband of the late Anna T. (Percuoco). Father of Anthony Paone, Jr. of Palm Coast, FL, Joanne Paone of Stoneham and Robert Paone & his wife Kathleen of Andover. Grandfather of Michelle Paone of Burlington, Gina Cueva of Tewksbury, Roberta Verville of Andover, Angela McAuliffe of Hudson, Donald Paone of Gloucester & Shaun Paone of Lynnfield. Great Grandfather of Bryan & Jennifer Strange, Michael Verville, Madison, Kaitlin, Olivia & Bella Cueva & Domenic, Ava, Anthony & Mia Paone. He is further survived by his sister Jeanette Forgione of Stoneham and predeceased by three brothers and six sisters. A Visitation will be held at the Edward V Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Monday Sept. 14 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. A Mass will follow at St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 12 Noon. Entombment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend.
