Obituary of Joseph Riley

Joseph L. Riley, 61, of New York City passed away at Calvary Hospital in Bronx, NY after a 17-month battle with Lung Cancer. Joseph was born in Boston Massachusetts, grew up in Cambridge and Burlington Massachusetts and lived the last 15 years in New York City. He is survived by his son Robert Riley, his wife Rebekah and grandchildren Linea Riley, Noah Riley, and Jared Riley all of Sanford Maine, his brother Timothy Riley of New York City, his Sisters Mary Taylor and Anne Blacklock of Billerica Massachusetts, and his former wife and mother of his son Barbara Riley of Bushnell Florida, and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his younger brother John Riley, and his parents Timothy & Mary Riley formerly of Burlington Massachusetts. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers in his memory to Free to Breathe, an organization dedicated to making sure that survival of Lung Cancer is an expectation, not the exception. He will be buried with his parents at Pine Haven Cemetery in Burlington Massachusetts, where a private burial service will be held for close friends and family.
