Obituary of Christine Manoli
Christine “Kippy” F. Manoli, a woman who thought of other’s first passed away on Friday evening, September 4, 2015 at the Heywood Hospital in Gardner. She was 81 years old.
Christine was born in Woburn, the daughter of the late Pearley and Florence White. She grew up in Woburn and Burlington and was a graduate of Burlington High School. Christine had an incredible work ethic and managed working most of her adult life along with be supportive, daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She had worked for 40 years as a technician at McCord Winn Company in Winchester. She then worked as a clerk at Catherine’s Clothing Store in Burlington. She was a great employee because she enjoyed her work and coworkers and never missed a day of work.
Christine was the same at home as well. Her family was the center of her universe and she was the lifeline to whom all in her family relied upon. She was the one who knew where everything was, or counseled you on a problem, or was there to lend a helping hand. She was kind and calming and always put everyone’s needs above her own. Her best friend was her sister Pearl. She enjoyed hosting the holidays and cooking her famous lemon meringue pies and apple crisp. She occasionally enjoyed a trip to the casino with family and friends. Her love and tenderness was a special gift that she shared with all those her life touched.
Christine was the beloved wife of the late Edwin T. Manoli. She was the loving mother of Pamela LeBlanc & her husband Brian of Winchendon and Edwin Manoli& his wife Angela of Arlington. Sister of James White of Tewksbury, the late Pearl Meyer, Jane Ferreira, John and William White. Proud grandmother of Eddie Manoli and Kat Hronas. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Bedford St., Burlington on Saturday, September 12 at noon. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Christine’s name may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005. Arrangements by the Edward V.
